Maria Kyriacou’s presentation to the “International Exchange of Experience on Insolvency Law”

The “International Exchange of Experience on Insolvency Law” (IEEI), an international network of insolvency experts, was established in 2000 under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice of the German land North Rhine-Westphalia. The purpose of the network is the efficient and reliable exchange of information and experience in the area of insolvency law. The members are judges and practising lawyers looking at the issues from the perspective of the court approving and deciding on a restructuring or a liquidation process. With the increasingly international nature of business they need to be aware not only of their national law, but also of the law in other jurisdictions in which businesses they deal with operate.
The network currently comprises almost 100 members from 32 countries and international organisations. Maria Kyriacou, head of our firm’s Nicosia office, is the IEEI member for Cyprus.
At the latest IEEI annual meeting, held in Athens on 16 to 18 May, Maria gave a presentation on the law relating to corporate restructuring and insolvency in Cyprus. You can view the presentation via the link below and if you would like any further information please contact Maria Kyriacou.
