Elias Neocleous & Co LLC was one of the main sponsors of the ninth Limassol Economic Forum, which took place on 19 October, attracting a record number of more than 450 participants from Cyprus and overseas, and receiving extensive coverage in the local and international media. The Limassol Economic Forum is the largest and most prestigious business gathering in Cyprus, a much anticipated annual event where the latest trends and developments in global politics and economies in Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean are discussed.
Speakers at this year’s event included prominent figures from the world of politics and business, including Cyprus’s Minister of Finance and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Josef Ackermann, former chairman of the management board and the group executive committee at Deutsche Bank and present chairman of Bank of Cyprus, and economist and author Stephen King. They covered a wide-ranging agenda including the future of the global economy, global and regional energy trends, and the changing geo-economic landscape.
Our managing partner, Elias Neocleous, was one of the panel members discussing the challenges businesses face in the current age of disruption, following a presentation by Constantinos Markides, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School.
