Attendance and interest from the Arab world was high at the ‘Cyprus – Arab Business Congress & Exhibition‘ held in Larnaca during 31st May 2019 to 2nd of June 2019.
The event was jointly organized by the Larnaca and Lebanon Chamber of Commerce and its aim was to highlight and promote Cyprus as an attractive investment destination to investors from the Arab countries. Attendees included citizens of Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and many other MENA (Middle East North Africa) countries including citizens from those countries already resident and active in the Cyprus business community.
Elias Neocleous and Co LLC together with GMM Money Markets presented to the investors practical solutions on how to best structure and protect their assets as well as elaborated on investment opportunities available. Michael Pelosi in particular through a practical example explained how high net worth individuals can take advantage of the various legal tools available in Cyprus in order to preserve their wealth, and discussed different ways whereby such family assets and wealth may be protected over time. There was particular reference to the use of trusts as asset protection and succession planning vehicles.
