Women’s Rights Reporting for Duty!

A legal team from Elias Neocleous & Co LLC recently won a landmark ruling from the Cyprus Ombudswoman. The firm’s  litigation and dispute resolution practice is the largest in Cyprus and has an unmatched record of success in helping clients of all kinds to assert and defend their legal rights in a timely manner.  This high-profile ruling was its latest significant achievement.

The team was acting on behalf of a group of 60 female soldiers who claimed that they had been discriminated against by the Ministry of Defence throughout the course of their careers in the army.   In an article published in the Cyprus Mail, Senior Associate Elena Riga, Associate Maria Kozakou, and Trainee Christina Anastasiou explain the background to the complaint and the legal arguments presented to the Ombudswomen for assessment before she announced her ruling.  The full article may be viewed here.

More information about the claim may be obtained by contacting Elena Riga or by speaking with your usual contact at Elias Neocleous & Co LLC.
