Mandatory vaccinations for employees – a human rights issue?

An article authored by legal trainee Aylin Zeybek was recently published in the Cyprus Mail.  The article examines the potential conflict arising between imposing a mandatory vaccination requirement in the workplace and the upholding of human rights legislation. Aylin examines a case where the European Court of Human Rights upheld a mandatory vaccination programme for children in the Czech Republic. She then explains in detail why such a case does not, and should not, set a legal precedent for the introduction of mandatory Covid 19 vaccinations by employers in Cyprus.

The article can be accessed here.
