Our associate Ioannis Sidiropoulos has recently published an article in the International Financial Law Review, on the mechanism of receivership and the recent case law by the Supreme Court of Cyprus. The article provides an overview of this corporate distress framework and analyses the Supreme Court decision which provides valuable guidance and directions in relation to the matters of the authority to defend court cases on behalf of the company and whether the documents initiating a court case against the company must be served on the Receiver or any member of the Board.
