Hotel Rwanda – the end of the UK as a safe haven for asylum seekers?

The September edition of the GB – Cyprus Business Association e-magazine features an article by Trainee Lawyer Aylin Zeybek.

The article explores the “Migration and Economic Development Partnership” agreed between the UK and Rwanda in April, which includes a controversial five-year “asylum partnership arrangement”. Aylin considers the legality of the asylum partnership arrangement and questions the ramifications of the UK’s threatened abandonment of  the European Convention on Human Rights.
