Crypto-currencies and crypto-assets have been ‘headline’ news in recent weeks. It is therefore apposite that International Financial Law Review has recently published an article by Partner, Chrysanthos Christoforou, concerning cryptocurrency fraud.
In his article Chrysanthos briefly discusses some notable UK court cases involving cryptocurrency fraud. He also outlines the remedies currently available in such cases and the role of the courts involved in administering them. He then notes that Cyprus courts are likely to mirror the actions of UK courts in this area.
