When recruiting our lawyer trainees Elias Neocleous & Co LLC demands much more than academic excellence alone. We seek personnel who are committed to and who actively demonstrate our core values of professional excellence, exercising initiative and, service to the Cyprus community.
Our 2022 intake are already working hard to impress their supervisors and as a team, in November, they also set out to show their support for the Cyprus community by organizing an extensive campaign in support of “Movember”. “Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health on a global scale, focusing on mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. During the month of November, the trainees of Elias Neocleous & Co. LLC organized a series of events, activities and games in order to raise awareness of men’s health issues and to collect donations for the cause. Displaying excellent initiative and promising management skills they were also able to co-opt the marketing team, HR team and past trainees to assist them with taking the campaign to employees, clients and the general public.
The activities arranged included a Movember word search puzzle, a treasure hunt where moustaches were hidden in some rather interesting places across all ENC’s locations in Cyprus, a Movember educational quiz, and the selling of blue ribbons and lottery tickets to raise money for the ccharity.
The campaign culminated on the 1st of December, with a major event where all employees at the Limassol office, symbolically wearing blue, gathered around to eat specially arranged Movember street food to celebrate and take a break from work. The highlight of the event was the presence of the Movember van at which the crowd gathered to witness the shaving off of the moustaches of the employees who had grown them as part of a competition to supportthe campaign. The event finished with announcements of the winner of the “best moustache” and the winners of the lottery.
The team was delighted with the campaign outcome noting, “There was a big turnout; people really enjoyed it and we are very thankful for it ! ”
Commenting on the campaign, Managing Partner, Elias Neocleous, noted, “We are very proud of our trainees, raising awareness of men’s health issues among the community benefits all of us. The fact that they were also able to raise funds to help the Movember charity continue its valuable work is an added bonus. Congratulations to all of them.
