December’s edition of Forbes Business Magazine included an in depth feature on the legal services and law firms in Cyprus. It highlighted Elias Neocleous & Co LLC as the country’s dynamic and multi-skilled firm commenting that with headquarters in Limassol and an equally dynamic presence in Nicosia and Paphos, the law firm provides high-level legal services in the entire spectrum of law.
The feature included an interview with our Managing Partner, Elias Neocleous. The original interview is in Greek, the following is an English synopsis.
Elias emphasized the importance of a strong legal sector, at both individual and corporate level, to the development of Cyprus. He noted the age of the legal profession and likened it in nobility and virtue to the judiciary, stating that both were necessary for the administration of justice.
Elias also explained that, whilst the firm enjoys enormous success in handling and resolving disputes in and out of courtrooms, our lawyers’ ability to prevent disputes is a critical element in the overall success of the firm. He clarified this by stating that it is our belief that our primary purpose should be to provide appropriate legal advice and, wherever possible, to prevent any time-consuming and damaging litigation to the detriment of our clients.
