Cyprus SDM clarifies reporting obligations for sea transport of Russian oil to third countries

The Cyprus Shipping Deputy Ministry (SDM) has issued Circular No. 11/2023 that outlines the reporting obligations for the transport of Russian crude oil and petroleum products to third countries by sea.  Andreas Christofides, Senior Associate at Elias Neocleous & Co. LLC, together with Costas Stamatiou, Partner, and Vassilis Psyrras, Senior Associate, have recently co-authored an article describing the specifics of this circular, which includes the products for which reporting obligations exist, previous and new regime, when an obligation to submit a declaration arises, and other general information.
