Biography

Fabian Cabeza advises multinational groups, high-net-worth individuals, startups and investors on complex cross-border tax, corporate and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on Cyprus and international structuring. He has extensive experience in corporate tax advisory, international tax planning and restructurings, including matters relating to transfer pricing, permanent establishments, the Cyprus IP regime and tax-efficient holding and operational structures.

Fabian regularly advises clients on corporate relocations, tax residence and non-domicile matters, assisting founders, entrepreneurs and private clients with the establishment and optimization of international structures. His practice also includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, shareholder arrangements and broader commercial matters.

In addition to his tax and corporate practice, Fabian is a member of the firm’s Tech and Regulatory practice, where he advises startups, investors and accelerators on venture financing, corporate scaling and regulatory compliance. He has experience advising on licensing and regulatory matters, including issues relating to MiCAR, electronic money institutions (EMIs) and payment service providers (PSPs).

Fabian also serves on the firm’s AI operations team, where he is involved in developing internal legal technology tools, including Neolaw.ai, and contributes to the firm’s broader initiatives in legal innovation and the integration of artificial intelligence into legal practice.

Fabian has an extensive international background, having lived and worked in Japan, Thailand, Spain, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Cyprus, bringing a commercially minded and internationally focused perspective to cross-border mandates. He was recognized as a Rising Star in Corporate Tax by ITR World Tax.

  • Providing corporate tax advisory services, with a focus on cross-border tax planning, restructurings, and ongoing compliance with Cyprus and international tax regimes, including application of the Cyprus IP Box regime.
  • Advising multinational groups, startups and high-growth businesses on international tax structuring, including transfer pricing arrangements, permanent establishment risk analysis and efficient group reorganisations.
  • Assisting founders, startups and investors with structuring, incorporation and early-stage financing, including support on accelerator-backed investments and growth-stage corporate scaling.
  • Advising on equity investments, shareholder arrangements and cross-border structuring of investment and portfolio company structures.
  • Advising on regulatory and licensing matters for fintech and digital asset businesses, including applications and compliance relating to MiCAR, electronic money institutions (EMIs) and payment service providers (PSPs).
