BIOGRAPHY

Antonia joined our firm in 2018 as a trainee lawyer in our litigation and dispute resolution department and then progressed, in 2019, to become an advocate/associate in the said department.

She is actively involved in commercial dispute resolution matters, at both domestic and international level with emphasis on contractual disputes. She has experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution procedures.

From her very first steps she became one of the key members of the innovation hub team of our firm, with an active involvement in the first major project of the team, Neolaw.ai.

In light of her enthusiasm in technology related matters, in 2021, Antonia became a member of the Technology, Privacy and Cybersecurity Department of our firm and after her active involvement in a number of cases concerning GDPR compliance and her thorough educational qualification on the matter, she became Data Protection Officer of our firm.

Relevant experience
  • Advising big companies and organisations on technology, privacy and cybersecurity matters, including the provision of legal advice on proactive actions to be taken for readiness to respond to any potential cybersecurity attacks, as well as advising and assisting following any potential cybersecurity incident;
  • Advising startup tech companies and providing wide assistance on all matters related to technology, privacy and cybersecurity;
  • Leading the procedures of full GDPR compliance of high profile companies and organisations;
  • Providing external DPO services to a number of companies;
  • Drafting various agreements from simple process agreements to more complex data pooling agreements and large strategic sourcing agreements such as Data Sharing Agreements, Data Processing Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreement;
  • Conducting various Data Protection Assessments, such as Data Protection Impact Assessments, and Data Breach Impact Assessments;
  • Drafting various GDPR Policies;
  • Advising on matters relating to Associations, Foundations and Federations and assisting the entities with their registration and compliance with their on-going obligations for submission of documents to the competent Registrar of Associations and Foundations;
  • Advising clients on a wide range of disputes, including contract and tort law, with particular emphasis on commercial disputes;
  • Assisting in high profile civil cases involving complex, multi-jurisdictional issues.
