Michael is the Chief Information Officer of Elias Neocleous & Co LLC, managing the firm’s Information Technology, Privacy and Cybersecurity Departments as well as providing innovative solutions for the legal operations.
Throughout the past years Michael has assisted into forming the Data, Privacy and Cybersecurity Department for Elias Neocleous & Co LLC and been managing a team of legal and security consultants. Together with the Legal Tech team Michael has assisted many organizations of different size and nature in complying with the GDPR, understand and mitigate cyber risks and advise businesses on the full range of IT legal topics and privacy issues that underpin them.
One of his greatest innovative achievements was the development of Neolaw.AI, using the latest and best aspects of machine learning and AI together with a natural language processing, neolaw.ai is set to become an indispensable legal assistant and knowledge repository for ‘in-house’ lawyers and practicing lawyers throughout Cyprus and beyond.
Michael holds a MSc in Cybersecurity and several professional certifications in Information Security, ISO27001, GDPR Lead Implementer and Instructor under PECB, Certified Ethical Hacker, and Digital Forensics Analyst. With his extensive experience and background in Cybersecurity and Data Protection.
In addition, he has implemented the Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) within the law firm to be the first law firm to acquire the ISO27001 certification. As an experienced Forensics Practitioner, Michael assists litigators in cases where digital evidence is required and has the competence to present the findings in court.
He is the founder of the Limassol Legal Hackers, a global movement of lawyers, policymakers, designers, technologists, and academics who explore and develop creative solutions to some of the most pressing issues at the intersection of law and technology.
