September is proving to be an excellent month for our Tax Planning and Advanced Business Structuring Department. At the beginning of the month Elias Neocleous, Kyriacos Xenophontos and Elena Christodoulou were all named as ‘World Tax Leaders’ by International Tax Review (‘ITR’). Following on from this, ITR has now published its comprehensive guide to the world’s leading tax firms, World Tax Review 2023 (WTR). On reviewing it we are delighted to report that, for the second successive year, Elias Neocleous & Co LLC has been rated ‘Tier one’ for general tax advisory work and ‘Tier one’ for tax controversy work.
WTR is unique among independent directories as it classifies law firms and other tax advice providers, such as the big four accounting firms, together rather than looking at them separately. Elias Neocleous & Co LLC is the only tax team in Cyprus to achieve a ‘Tier one’ rating in both rating categories and the only law firm to be awarded Tier one status for general tax advisory work.
Commenting on the new rankings, Mr. Neocleous stated, “I am extremely proud of everyone in the team. They have worked hard to demonstrate that the high rating we received last year was fully justified.
